According to the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the following individuals can be depositors in banks:
- Citizens of Uzbekistan: Any citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan with ID card have the right to open deposits in banks of the country from the age of 18.
- Foreign citizens and stateless persons: Foreign citizens also have the right to open deposits if they have legal grounds for staying on the territory of the country. This may be a visa, residence permit or other document confirming legal stay in Uzbekistan. Also, in order to make a deposit, it is necessary to provide your personal identification number of a physical person (State Services Center) and a document certifying the source of money.
